I have not posted in a while but I have been busy making quilts for kids . I belong to a group of quilters named Heart to Heart quilters. This non-profit guild is located in Gilbert Arizona. Their mission is to provide comfort to children who must stay in the hospital for extended periods of time. A quilt gives these children comfort and strength. We also make teddy bears. These teddy bears are used in the emergency room to give a child something to hold onto durning treatment. The quild decided to adopt the Cardon Children Medical Center in Mesa Arizona and to date 27 quilts, 44 stuffed teddy bears and 11 journals have been donated to the hospital. The quild is still very young, it was formed in February 2010.
